Hell, Yeah?

Well we can stop fearing christians now cause it turns out Hell's alright. Unfortunately thats all Hell Energy Drink is. . . Alright/Ok/Mediocre and definitely brimstone free.

We stumbled upon Hell Energy walking through our local Sainsbury's supermarket next to our usual favourite brands. So as we were deciding on a review blog we thought why not give it a go, i mean once you've been to Hell everything else would seem ok after.

Style
We first noticed the shitty design of the can, black, red with a very ugly burgundy 'Hell' Logo. At the top of the can displays a very silly looking cartoon devil which looks more like a pedophile magician than the Antichrist. Hell Energy should sack who ever came up with this little gem too, one of the worst slogans out there. . .
"Gives you energy like Hell"
Fail. However not all was lost with the cans aesthetics as we noticed a very cool feature of the drink, an AT&T Williams logo on the side. Hell Energy drink sponsor the F1 team with whom Rubens Barracello drives for! which is quite cool for a small company and Rubens is faster than The Stig around the Top Gear test track. Win. We suspect that this crazy reverse sponsorship must make the drink cheaper as it was priced at a very reasonable 76p.

Taste
Now to get onto the taste. To be honest its not bad, very sugary and tastes a bit like sherbet dip but overal its ok. It didn't really hit you in the face which we were expecting, which is a shame because with a redesign of the can colours, logo. . . and slogan, this drink would be a serious contender for the likes of the big 3: Red Bull, Monster and Rockstar.

Amptitude
Yes we are making words up.
Amptitude (amp-tit-ude) Adjective
comes from the latin word Amptitudidius.

Adjective-
1. How physically pumped you are over an energy drink.

2. how mental you get after 30 minutes of consumption of an energy drink.

So how amped were we. It was hard to tell that day as i had already had 3 cans of Kick (review coming soon) but i can usually tell if its giving me a buzz however we were not overly impressed, but again its hard to tell.

Hell Energy could of been great but unfortunately it didn't quite make the mark with us. its not bad but i wouldn't rave about it. saying that i never rave about anything dance music isn't really my bag. I have just read an article from www.marketingmagazine.co.uk that suggests Hell is aiming high, trying to take on Taiwan bad boys Red Bull in the U.K with an 'experimental push' of the drink, their main point why you should choose Hell over Red Bull is because it us under a pound a can. There is a reason for that. because it sucks.

Check back for more reviews and other stupid tests we will be doing in the near future.
